We are currently recording a bunch of new (and old) songs in our tiny suburban studio in Denmark. This snippet is from a song in Danish. Stay tuned for the full album later this year.
Tracking ocean sounds…
“The more wishes you make, the more magnificent Fantasia will become”
I’m totally (re)obsessing over The Never Ending Story the movie, and I have decided to make a cover of the title song by Limahl. I always thought that it was a bit off and not fitting the movie very well, so I will make a version that is slow, dark and mysterious with a touch of optimism.
If we will ever perform again, I will wear this t-shirt on stage:
Big plans require a big Post-it
I actually used the definition of a Post-it in song lyrics once: “Sticks prominently to an object or surface / easily removed when necessary,” but don’t let that distract you from the facts that we have mapped out everything that we need to do in order to finish this new bunch of songs on a giant Post-it. Next step is to enter production mode and get some work done. We have one song in Danish, a lot in English and one cover song… stay tuned!

Fangirling over wordsmiths
I’m no stranger to attention seeking band names (does she wear a rat suit? Spoiler alert: no). And I get oh so delighted when I see other band names, song titles or album titles in the quirky category. Here are a few of my personal favourites:
Gay for Johnny Depp
– if there was a Grammy for best band name, they should have it. They were a tour de force in brilliant (and often offensive) song titles. Google them if you dare. My favourite album title of theirs is:
What Doesn’t Kill You, Eventually Kills You
…
From the band An Emergency I bring you the songs:
Irony Nein Danke
and
Kevin Bacon
Pulitzer Prize potential!
…
Peace Burial At Sea captures exactly how life feels at times with this song title:
B-Movie Karma
…
I found the band Franska Mode Klubben on Myspace (guess my age), and this song title is just awesome:
I Want My CD Back
– didn’t we all know the feeling in the 90’s? Oh the pain! I’m still waiting/for my CD/put it in a bag/send it right away/come on/it really can’t be that hard. Brilliant!
Please enlighten me with your favourites!
Here is what Kevin Bacon sounds like:
Dusting off the cobwebs
Hello everyone, hibernation days are over! The rat suit is out from the attic and ready to rock again.
Since we last spoke we made 3 news songs and 2 babies. That’s almost and equal baby-to-new-music ratio that clearly shows were our focus has been for a long time.
That is all going to change now, because our new music playground has been build! No sandboxes, no swings, no slides, but everything you need to keep two wanna-be musicians happy gathered in our now soundproof garage/rehearsal space. Come visit!
Here are the before and after pics:

Take me back to south Tallahasseeeeeee
Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show at The Office Lounge! We had the best time playing for you and spending the weekend in Tallahassee, cruising in Lance’s old Ford Falcon Futura enjoying the pines and dinosaur trees, horses, deer, birds, everything fried and fatty, moonlit nights and loud music. The Office Lounge is a part of The Railroad Square which most of all reminds me of a mini version of Christiania in Denmark with a free and creative atmosphere. Check it out if you get the chance. And watch out for Gingers Meadows, Book of the Chow Chow and the young and talented Bees And Enormous Tigers who played with us.
