Take me back to south Tallahasseeeeeee

Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show at The Office Lounge! We had the best time playing for you and spending the weekend in Tallahassee, cruising in Lance’s old Ford Falcon Futura enjoying the pines and dinosaur trees, horses, deer, birds, everything fried and fatty, moonlit nights and loud music. The Office Lounge is a part of The Railroad Square which most of all reminds me of a mini version of Christiania in Denmark with a free and creative atmosphere. Check it out if you get the chance. And watch out for Gingers Meadows, Book of the Chow Chow and the young and talented Bees And Enormous Tigers who played with us.
Welcome to the old Jaguar car repair shop – now The Office Lounge.

Words to wear
October 18, 2012 § Leave a Comment
Rock out, sleep tight or walk the streets in a very special A Girl in a Rat Suit t-shirt. The words are fragments of the lyrics from the new single ‘ARENA’ and there are only 5 of each style.
The t-shirts are made by Philadelphia based Print Liberation who are awesome in every way. Quote: “no digital-print-iron-on bullshit” and made like this:
The size small fits my mom without being too tight, the medium fits my dad (it’s American Apparel men’s sizes). My parents took the pictures of the t-shirts in a classroom in Jutland on a Sunday while I was in New York. Thanks guys. You rock.

Hurrah! Today we welcome ARENA the single and video to the world, starring feather eyelashes, white gloves, sleek haircuts and funky moves:
Did you know that the large crystal around my neck is from the annual street fair at 103rd street on the upper west side? I was a whopping 20 dollars. The award for best comment on it goes to Christopher Henry for: “Does that one take you back to the mother ship?”. The white lace jacket is from the second-hand store on Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen that doesn’t only sell clothes and furniture from dead people’s houses, but also sugar, flour, jam and other goodies that outperformed the expiration date of their owners.

The horse on the cover is a drawing of the statue in Christansborg Ridebane. The statue is made by Anne Marie Carl Nielsen (wife of Carl Nielsen) in 1927.
I had an amazing time writing, recording, producing and shooting ARENA. A very special thanks to Michael Miltersen / Sepia Productions, Tommy Rasmussen / Smussen Design and of course Kristian Baek.
